Simon only removed MinimServer 0.8 fro his download folder when MinimServer 2 was available for all supported platforms. I posted on the issue in December 2019 (see ). Simon signalled his intentions months ago. MinimServer did not "suddenly" turn into a subscription. That is not really a sensible model for keeping the product sustainable for the longer term, which as users is an issue that has to concern us. We have to ask ourselves why we should expect someone else to pay for something that we enjoy. And, let's be clear, we users have never had any entitlement to a free licence we have been using MinimServer because of Simon's generosity and goodwill. Simon does not appear to be charging for his time, but the cost of development and test hardware (including examples of all the platforms that MinimServer supports) is not trivial.
